Who is YourBusyBee?

YBB consists of several designers and programmers, but is primarily the brainchild of Laura Sage-Ruiz. Ms. Sage-Ruiz has over 12 years of experience in the high tech manufacturing industry as an executive administrative assistant. She's been personal assistant to President's & CEO's, entire departments of engineers, as well as remotely assisting representatives in foreign countries.

She also has a lifetime of experience in the music industry as an opera singer and violinist - and, most recently, as an arts administrator. Laura founded and runs the Lyric Opera of Los Angeles, a nonprofit performing arts organization. Her many administrative duties for that company have included everything from filing federal 501(c)3 paperwork, creating marketing pieces, designing and maintaining the website to producing operas, selling adspace in programs, and even singing & playing her violin on occasion.

Throughout her many jobs, Laura has had opportunity to create original logos, presentation designs, and numerous websites. She's designed everything from ecommerce websites to personal journaling/blogging websites...for companies as diverse as a local beauty salon to high-tech engineering firms during the dotcom era. Additionally, Laura has gained a reputation as one of the premier local designers for recital/production programs & marketing materials, as well as for creating eye-catching press releases for several local performing arts organizations.

Laura's primary passion is her children. She works very hard to maintain a manageable case-load of clients so that she can still spend valuable time with Peter and Megan, while still giving each client the personal and high-quality service they've come to expect from her.

From time-to-time, Laura will enlist the aid of several sub-contractors for various projects. These sub-contractors have been carefully screened and evaluated. They will do the work on time and within budget - and with the utmost attention to detail (you will always be consulted beforehand should a sub-contractor be needed).
